Together, We Can Turn Movement into a Daily Wellness Routine.
Who We Are: Our Story
Myotone Physiotherapy, founded by Anson Xu, embodies a vision that extends beyond traditional treatment offerings. It is a place where patients are empowered with knowledge about their bodies and guided toward long-term health. Anson emphasizes the importance of understanding body mechanics, believing that early intervention is crucial for sustained physical well-being.
The Myotone team is dedicated to enhancing movement and overall physical health. Whether working with athletes seeking to improve their performance or individuals looking to refine their daily movements, Myotone Physiotherapy fosters growth and long-term improvement through personalized care and scientifically backed methods.
The name "Myotone" encapsulates the clinic’s core philosophy: "Myo" refers to muscles, while "tone" signifies the balance and tension essential for optimal movement. The clinic focuses on restoring and maintaining this balance, helping patients recover from injuries while proactively addressing factors that may lead to future issues. This approach empowers patients to move freely and confidently in their everyday lives.
The Geometric Heart Shape in the clinic’s logo represents this philosophy, symbolizing both scientific precision and compassionate care. It reflects the methodical, evidence-based approach behind every treatment, combined with the dedication and heart guiding each patient interaction.
Anson and his team are committed to making Myotone a hub for education, wellness, and community support, forging lasting relationships and setting new standards in patient care.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
No, you do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist for most conditions. However, if you are seeking treatment through workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accident claims, or other insurance claims, a referral may be required.
What should I expect during my first physiotherapy session?
Your initial consultation will involve an in-depth assessment, including a discussion of your medical history, symptoms, and goals. We will perform physical tests and movements to identify the root cause of your problem and then work together to develop a personalized treatment plan.
Can I claim physiotherapy through Medicare?
Yes, you can claim physiotherapy through Medicare under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan (formerly the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan) if you have a chronic medical condition. To be eligible, your GP must create a care plan and refer you to a physiotherapist. Medicare provides up to 5 allied health services per year under this plan, which can include physiotherapy. If you’re not eligible for the CDM plan, private health insurance may help cover physiotherapy costs.
